Old Fashioned Fig Cake
| Yield: 1 cake | Old Fashioned Fig Cake |
| 2c flour | Sift together first 6 ingredients and set aside. Mix sugar, |
| 1t salt | oil, eggs and buttermilk. Add dry ingredients and then add |
| 1t baking soda | pecans, fig preserves and vanilla. Grease and flour bunt |
| 1t cloves | pan, pour mixture into pan and bake at 350 degrees for |
| 1t nutmeg | 45 to 60 minutes until done. |

Aunt Mary's Pumpkin Pie
| Yield: 2 pies | Aunt Mary's Pumpkin Pie |
| 4 eggs | Beat eggs then add sugar, flour mixture, then pumpkin, milk, |
| 1c sugar | salt,and vanilla. Add melted butter last. Mix well. |
| 2c pumpkin (16oz can) | Divide filling between 2 deep dish pie crusts. For a crispier |
| 1c milk | crust, bake the crust for a few minutes before pouring in |
| 1T flour | the filling. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or |
| 1 stick butter, melted | until done. |

Mississippi Mud Cake
| Yield: 1 cake | Mississippi Mud Cake |
| 2 sticks margarine | Melt margarine, add cocoa, eggs, flour, salt and sugar. |
| 1/2c cocoa | Beat well, add nuts and stir. Pour in greased and floured |
| 4 eggs well beaten | square pan and bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. |
| 1 1/2c plain flour | Pour package of marshmallows over cake while still hot. |

Buttermilk Cake
| Yield: 1 cake | Buttermilk Cake |
| 1c Crisco | Cream Crisco, sugar, and butternut flavoring. Add eggs, |
| 3c sugar | one at a time, mixing well between each egg. Dissolve |
| 2t vanilla | soda in the buttermilk. Add the flour and buttermilk in |
| 5 eggs | alternating amounts to the egg mixture, mixing well as the |
| 1/3t baking soda | ingredients are added. Bake in a greased and floured tube |
| 1c buttermilk | pan at 325 degrees for about 70 minutes or until done. |
| 2t butternut flavoring | Dump out onto a cake plate and glaze while it is still hot. |

| Buttermilk Cake Glaze | |
| 1c powdered sugar 1T water | |
| 2T orange juice concentrate | |
| Mix the glaze ingredients thoroughly and pour over cake | |
| while it is still hot. |

Old Fashioned Red Velvet Cake
| Yeild: 1 cake | Red Velvet Cake |
| 2 1/2c plain flour | |
| 1c buttermilk | Cream sugar and Wesson oil. Add eggs, beat well. Sift |
| 1 1/2c sugar | together flour, salt, and soda. Put cocoa, vinegar, and red |
| 2c Wesson oil | food coloring in a cup. Mix well and add to sugar mixture. |
| 1t vinegar | Beat well. Add milk, flour and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. |
| 1t baking soda | Pour into two greased and floured cake pans. Bake at |
| 1t salt | 350 degrees for 30-45 min (or until done). Baking time |
| 1t vanilla extract | can vary depending on humidity and altitude. Cool cakes |
| 1T cocoa | completely before frosting. |
| 2T red food coloring | |
| 2 eggs | Frosting |
| 1 stick oleo 1T vanilla extract | |

| 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, at room temp | |
| Blend together oleo, sugar, and cream cheese. Add vanilla | |

| 1/4c buttermilk | brown or desired doneness (I don't like them quite as brown) |

Coca Cola Cake
| Yield: 1 cake | Coca Cola Cake |
| 2c sugar | |
| 2c flour | Sift sugar and flour together. Boil butter, cocoa, and cola. |
| 1c buttermilk | Pour over flour and sugar, mixing together. Dissolve soda in |
| 3T cocoa | buttermilk and pour into the flour mixture, mixing well. |
| 1c coca cola | Add in eggs, vanilla, and marshmallows. Mix thoroughly |
| 1t baking soda | and pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch cake pan. |
| 1/2c buttermilk | Bake for about 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven (or until |
| 2 eggs, beaten | done) |

| 1 1/2c miniature marshmallow | Coca Cola Icing |
| 1/2cbutter 1 box confectioner's sugar | |

| Bring to boil the butter, cocoa, and cola. Add sugar, vanilla, | |
| and pecans. Pour over cake in the pan while icing is hot. |
Momma's Pineapple Cake
| Yield: 1 cake | Pineapple Cake |
| 1/2 c shortening | |
| 1 3/4c sugar | Cream shortening an sugar: stir in eggs. Sift flour, soda, and |
| 2 eggs | baking powder together and add alternately with buttermilk |
| 2c flour | to shortening mixture. Add vanilla extract. Mix well. Bake |
| 1/4t baking soda | in 2 - 8 inch greased and floured round cake pans. Bake |
| 2t baking powder | at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until done. Cool. Add |
| 1c buttermilk | Frosting when cool. |

| 1c evaporated milk | In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, margarine, |
| 1c sugar | and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat stirring |
| 3 egg yolks | constantly until mixture thickens (about 12 min). |
| 1/2c margarine | Add drained, crushed pineapple and stir well. |
